Aristos RAID Storage Processor

At the heart of our RAID Storage Solution is the RAID Storage Processor (RSP™), a purpose built device designed specifically to accelerate the storage data path. The core of the device is built around a scalable fabric of programmable processing elements and memory data structures. It delivers protocol processing, command processing, storage application acceleration, and storage management in a single silicon device. Dedicated hardware engines improve performance for storage functions by automating all performance critical operations, resulting in superior performance over firmware-based solutions.

RSP based storage systems provide high performance, manageability and scalability for a wide range of applications ranging from Enterprise Data Center, Small and Medium Business (SMB) and high-end desktop applications. This unique architecture provides unprecedented flexibility, which allows the tuning of storage systems to provide for maximum throughput as well as random performance in real world applications. Integrated protocol acceleration combined with high-speed data interfaces make the RSP suitable for a wide range of applications including SAS, SATA and Fibre Channel.

Designed specifically to take advantage of the RAID Storage Processor hardware acceleration, the Aristos RAID Software is modern, highly modular software designed for a wide spectrum of storage applications. One of the major challenges for the older legacy RAID software evolved over many years is its inability to easily adopt new features and functions. Aristos RAID Software was developed from scratch, keeping in mind the need for flexibility. The result is a software product that provides a wide range of features and functions while providing OEM customers a framework for integrating their own differentiating management features. Adding and maintaining new features is simplified by eliminating dependencies between storage data path and management software. A powerful set of APIs and easy-to-customize Graphical User Interface (GUI) provide added flexibility.
